Notifications
Stay on top of everything happening with your issues, pull requests, and rewards — without checking the dashboard constantly.
What you'll be notified about
You'll hear from us when...
---
A maintainer assigns you to an issue you applied for
Your application to an issue isn't accepted
A pull request you opened gets merged
You receive a reward for a completed contribution
A referral you made is completed and pays out
Your social-follow proof is approved and pays out
A points redemption you requested is paid or rejected
A contributor applies to an issue on one of your projects (for maintainers)
In-app and email
Every notification can reach you two ways:
- In-app — shows up in the bell icon in the top navigation, with an unread count so you never miss one.
- Email — sent to the email address on your account, so you know even when you're not on the site.
Both are on by default. You don't need to set anything up to start receiving them.
Turning notifications on or off
Go to Settings → Notifications. Each notification type has its own switch for in-app and email, so you can, for example, keep in-app alerts on for everything but only get emailed about the things that matter most to you. Use Enable all / Disable all to change everything at once.
